Primary Sources : The purpose Primary Documents serves in history, How has it changed in two decades & the impact it still have on the "telling" of history

Primary source give us first hand insights into the past. They are also the most important tools an historian has for developing an understanding of an event. Primary sources serve as the evidence an historian uses in developing an interpretation and in building an argument to support that interpretation. A lot has changed because there are more technology today, people are using computers, laptop etc. The impacts that primary documents will have on telling history is that we learn more stuff of what happen in the past & gain more skills for researching sources .

How does culture influence your lives, how did it make you the person you are today & how different would you be had you grown up in a different culture?

My khmer culture influence my live in every way & made me the person I am today because it taught me how to respect my elders, the way i speak & my manners toward other because if I don't respect other how are they gonna respect me. It also show me the right way to dress Growing up in a different culture would be hard on me, I'm gonna have to learn a whole new different language, a different culture & different beliefs.

What does it mean to be American ?

Being an American is about being  free and loyal. It's about having freedom of religion, rights, and justice. It's also about being about yourself. means that we are all treated equally no matter what color skin you have, and it doesn't matter what culture you are from.

Declaration of Independence - Successful or Failure .... ?

The Declaration of Independence is one of the most important documents in American history. The Declaration’s historical significance is of great importance for the United States of America. It was of great importance thanks to its success. I believe the Declaration of Independence was successful because the Declaration announced the Americans decision to become independent and be free from British ruling. It states that a government exists for the benefit of the people and to protect their rights. It also states that "all men are created equally." Furthermore, it explained the reasons why the Americans wanted to separate from the crown.

To me it means that one person shouldn't be in charge but everyone should work togheter. There shouldn't be a leader, everyone should be equal. So I agree with her quote .

Feelings, Tthoughts, Opinions about my groups proposals on Colombus Day ?

I agree with  my groups proposals for Colombus day. I feel as though Colombus Day should be celebrated because if it wasn't for him we would be here right about now & he was the one who started the Columbian exchange, without it we wouldn’t have all these goods. Such as plants, animals, and culture & Columbus day was in American tradition for years, so why stop celebrating it ?  But I think we should celebrate Columbus Day as a different holiday. After the class prezi i thought about it, i thought that we should be celebrating the founding of America.
